The training capacities of Odisha Police fall short of the requirements. We have raised a number of battalions and increased the number of Police Stations in the State in the recent past. The emergence of Biju Patnaik State Police Academy as a premier Police Training Institute of the State will bridge this gap. I hope that the Academy, in addition to meeting the training needs of the State Police, will emerge as a premier Police Training Institute of the Country.
